Sandokan Posted June 17, 2013 Share #2  Posted June 17, 2013 Competitive Cameras Ltd http://www.competitivecameras.com 2025 Irving Blvd, Dallas +1 214-744-5511  Fort Worth Camera 2900 W 6th St, Fort Worth +1 817-335-3456 http://fortworthcamera.com/index.html  From my memory, Competitive did not have any slide film but may have had some B&W.  Ft Worth camera had developing chemicals which I bought, but I do not recall film there. Otherwise it was a great store with lots of odds and sods - such as Op-tech connectors as well as straps, loupes.  Normally I buy either at B&H or mail order from Freestyle. A miller Posted June 26, 2013 Author Share #5 Â Posted June 26, 2013 Hi Ravi - I live in NY but was raised in the Dallas area and was there visiting last week. Spent two hot and sunny days at the Dallas Arboretum, including Monday just after the morning rain subsided.
Sandokan Posted July 5, 2013 Share #6 Â Posted July 5, 2013 Hi Adam, did you find anywhere in Dallas for film? I ask because I am a regular visitor to Dallas area but also to NJ. My usual D&P is in a Walgreens which is OK.
A miller Posted July 5, 2013 Author Share #7 Â Posted July 5, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Ravi - I did not end up needing to purchase film during my trip. However, I learned from a fellow forumite that Arlington Camera has a decent selection of professional films. They are located not too far away from Six Flags, if you know the area. JeTexas Posted July 8, 2013 Share #9 Â Posted July 8, 2013 I'm not sure about film, but the epicenter of the camera club/collector scene in Dallas seems to be Don's Used Photo Equipment. ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dons-Used-Photo-Equipment/143349728139?fref=ts ) Â I've been meaning to stop by there to check it out, but I just haven't had a reason to visit Dallas lately.
