And a B&W from awhile back.  I shot this photo for a friend.  He never liked it, said a Leica should have done a better job.  I don't know, but I though it did ok.  M6, 50mm Summicron, Plus-X, Rodinal 50:1, scanned with a Plustek.

Wayne it's very well framing and nice shot. better than in digital for the "soft" side aspect

no "cutting" edge unnatural, with a very "deep" black (the car is black or red Wayne ?) and a

bokeh composed with grain of film, not with "smoothing" pixels , so giving finally a relief effect

for the  car in first plan. If you have a digital cam take the same car and compare :)

Taken while carrying a black Billingham bag! svn.

For comparison purposes I will show a picture taken while walking around with my beige Billingham bag another time  :D

Have a nice evening all,

C.

As promised, please find below the comparison picture taken while walking around with my beige Billingham bag. As to the question whether the black or the beige version is advantageous to one's photographic results, it is, in my humble opinion, probably strikingly true to say that, without resorting to crude over-simplifications, generalizations or the like, the resulting differences, in terms of the average of the results achieved for each version, are, by and large, on closer inspection, and after careful scrutiny and consideration, not unlikely to be entirely indistinguishable from each other.

Being considerate as to your advise and having looked at both today am of the opinion that there is vast difference and need an extended period of contemplation extending to considerable time on a suitable African mountain peak to ponder my choice ...

Thanks....It's not your monitor.  I noticed the same, so did Henry...I  had no time to fix and couldn't edit the post.   For some reason I had to fight blue/green WB with several frames from this roll.  I think I may have messed up the WB on the initial scans.  I have slight color blindness to lighter shades of green and red...my eyes may have just failed me when I did the scans.   I'm going to re-scan and re-post soon.  Henry re-posted the book cart with the proper balance.

Best,

Marc

It may be my monitor, but all three images seem to have a wrong white balance, they look way to greenish...
