I am my best (and only) customer :). I purchased this shower curtain for my home in Jerusalem from my "store" in www.fineartamerica.com

The snippet of NYC grafitti (Fuji Velvia 50) makes me feel right at "home" :)

I think it came out great. Good fabric and popping colors.

I reattach the original photo for comparison.

Worth $60 to anyone other than me (and perhaps my mother)?? The matter is very uncertain :)

The original photo... Fuji Velvia 50

Wow Adam  the same tag at your home and on the wall  :)

It's great ! beautiful color

Philip , I agree with you :)  about the flaw from the picture taken with the camera untill scanning

or printing.

"I imagine that to a certain extent film photography is about accepting and working with its inherent flaws."

All is important and finally we can see in the result , like in Chris photos or William photos

It's a nice shot Adam, and a great idea. Me? I think I'd have gone for the Raquel Welch one though.

Gary

Ha, ha, that's what my wife said :)

My thinking was that the wide frame would be suitable to the width of the shower curtain.

Next summer it will be "Raquel Welch" :)

monuments +  Kodak Portra 400 for some picture inside.

Slide any idea ?
What do you think ?

The carousel near the bridge to the Eiffel Tower Henry?

As much as I love slide film, I think I'd be sticking with color neg, some Portra 160 perhaps.

Yes Gary well noticed !

Yes the last trip I only brought KP 400 and It's too luminous for outside pictures .

I notice Gary that in NZ , you don't use 400 Isos for color , am I right ? because it's too bright ?

In addition what I said above , here we post our pictures to share but the most important is the impression

this is where we see the real result.

Pictures like Chris posts here shows us that since taking picture with the camera, the C41 development,

then the scanner or the enlarger everything is important especially when we do ourself  :)

Another example is Adam pictures , color is wonderful and unbeatable

... and I forget the most important the photographer and his style of composition, framing , his choice of the

subject :). All contribute to have a nice picture

In my earlier, pre-digital days, I never got anything higher than ASA400. Usually it was Plus-X of FP4, and more latterly APX100.

Then digital arrived and the sky was the limit.

Back with film again, and back to the same old tricks, FP4 or Tri-X. Tri-X is awesome in the SWC as it allows f16 or f22 simply enough outdoors.

For your use though I'd opt for Portra 160, good all round speed.

(Acros 100 in very poor light)...

Been there, done that, six years ago this Thursday.

Very sad. Stay strong and try to make the best of it. There is good that can come out of these moments.
