too old to care Posted July 4, 2016 Share #17903  Posted July 4, 2016 Another one of mine.  For some reason I love this flower.  We did not plant it, but it would pop up every year on its own.  Behind it is a garden angle a friend gave us, watching over it.    Welcome, dear visitor! christoph_d Posted July 4, 2016 Share #17905  Posted July 4, 2016 A picture from the Tilburg meeting last weekend. I'd tried the Foma Retropan 320 film for the first time. I followed the instructions but find the resulting negatives look a bit thin, I will develop a bit longer next time. Grain (as expected) rather dominant. What most disturbs me is the skin-tones. In some lighting situations human skin looks rather as if I had taken a picture on an IR sensitive film.  Welcome, dear visitor! philipus Posted July 4, 2016 Share #17907  Posted July 4, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Very interesting results Christoph. And Jaap looks very sharp.  I've been curious about this film. I like the grain personally. Did you expose at 320?  I will develop my b&w roll tonight and hope to post results tomorrow from the meeting.  br Philip  A picture from the Tilburg meeting last weekend. Like a caucasian skintone under tungsten lighting ?  Cheers, JM
christoph_d Posted July 4, 2016 Share #17910  Posted July 4, 2016 Could you share an example and of which skintone and  lighting conditions you're referring to ? Like a caucasian skintone under tungsten lighting ?  Cheers, JM  Here you go, an example similar to the one above, but you can see more of the skin due to the lack of smoke. Daylight, if I remember either slightly cloudy, or in the shadow at approximately 12:30. This time no adjustments to the picture (but you can see the same effect in the adjusted picture above).  What strikes me is that the skin tones look like marble, no structure to it, the lips don't have a different tone - typically what you get when your film has extended sensitivity in the IR spectrum. (With artificial light this film seems better).  Welcome, dear visitor! I'm impressed with the greys and detail, as well as the wholesome dirtiness of the scene. The Magirus brings back memories of when I used to drive slightly newer versions up in the North-West Frontier Province in Pakistan. Great trucks. Thank you.
