Guest Benqui

I love "Dirndl" ,a typical Bavarian dress for women.

Hassi 500, Planar 80, Portra 400

Please excuse that I had some trouble with focussing  ;)

Marc blur gives a certain sweetness to the photo and charm

plus do not forget that is the film and his unaggressive side

with more faithful color. The overall effect is relaxing and pleasant to look.

I like much

Lovely lady and portrait

Frank ,  I have posted here a picture of Mont Saint Michel with my M8 and my M7 film Kodak TX

A crop of the hill and buidings specially the Abbey has more definition with film

reason:  the pixels can not give a "clear" line because pisels must be smoothed by software and

finally the result is unclear

I'll post again these pictures if you're interested. There is also the "artistic" side of the film

the "sentimental" side of the film...because it's not digital :)

Thanks for your advice

Best

Henry

another interesting link Nikon D800 (36 Mpx) vs film camera

https://www.onlandscape.co.uk/2014/12/36-megapixels-vs-6x7-velvia/

For Frank as promised

I found these pictures in comparison :)

the overall impression of the digital photo in crop 150% looks sharp

but it is an illusion look at buidings at the bottom of the picture

balconies and terraces of the building at the bottom left

the windows of the 2 buildings at bottom right

Which are the clearrather more defined  ?

Mathias , nice picture in contre-jour (CJ) of the Airbus A380 the biggest plane in the world.

May be the A350 for me in August to go in mission to Asia.

Photos like also the first picture in CJ , always give more depth to the picture IMHO

I think CMS  is the old Agfa film : very nice b&w tone
