Henry, have you been to the Vosges Mountains ? we went by motobike about 8 years ago and loved it

GS, yes I know the Vosges, it's a beautiful place, more hilly but less high than the Alps !

I have a family cottage in the Alps :)

Here is a picture of my M7*which gives me great pictures

You can see next, as in the good old days a tube amplifier

This is what I call "high fidelity for the music" and for film ("natural" sound , "natural" picture)

Listen to the voice (eg Pavaroti) and you'll see ....purity, transparency, clarity like in film :D

Nice pictures ... specially Wellow :)

Thanks GS for posting

Canyoning and Gorge du Verdon (South East of France)

(too bad that I did not have my 135mm that day)

I dipped my feet in the cool water when suddenly the canoe arrives :)

picture in "contre jour" (sometimes impossible with my M9)

the film better support "contre jour" than digital !

No, i only develope B+W but i have a place 5 minutes walk that develope colour £2 a roll

in this case, I think there is a problem in the development

Try another lab next time.

I expect a "water bath" to develop myself (C41)

Thanks for your reply

The first shot is off because of mixed lighting

The Canal Saint-Martin is a channel of 4.55 km long , inside of Paris

It has nine locks and two swing bridges for a altitude difference of 25 m.

It connects several basins within Paris itself.

This is a nice place to walk under the trees.

A few more. All shot on my M6, loaded with Tri-X, and fitted with a version 1 Noctilux.

Looking through these makes me slightly sad because, not being a wealthy man, I sold the Noctilux to fund my purchase of an M Monochrom. I convinced myself I could get by just fine with a 50 Summilux. Naturally, of course, I miss the Noct - nothing compares to it.

I've read on this forum so many times that you should never sell a Noctilux. So true!

Best wishes all,

Colin

Wonderful shots, i keep wondering about selling my Canon 300F2.8L to get a poor mans MM (M8) because since getting an M4-2 and M4-p 70 year anniversary i have hardly used my digital Canons

Colin, I have the last 50 summilux asph and I find it very versatile with the possibility to take pictures in the dark.

Even my 28 summicron asph (also the last) arrives to take pictures in the dark

Leica optics are very luminous

The Noctilux is a very good lens but heavy and expensive.

I prefer to keep this money to pay other lens

Beautiful pictures posted here

Thank you

Regards

Henry
