And silly as it sounds that same thought crossed my mind as I typed it, but figured, you'd understand what I meant, LOL.

Try a roll just the same. Maybe check you can get E6 processing done first though.

Gary

Only problem is that there is no longer anyone processing E6 in Malaysia. Films have to be sent to Singapore for processing (Analog Film Lab), and the courier costs as much as the processing.

With patience and a good tripod  and without asking a microscopic scale of macro style,
Macro Elmar 90 lens with a light M camera can do wonders for a reduced weight, compared to a heavy reflex with extension tube or bellows, incompatible with my way to make macrophotography in the nature (sometimes trip with bikes) as in this picture

Guys....HELP

I'm scanning my first color negs and they scan okay but the colors are way out there. When initially working on B&W negs I know how to get the Blacks and whites correct........what is the initial procedure to get the colors correct??

Neil, I think that all scanners are the same and also software
Did you choose the "color" option instead of "monochrome" ?
"Red Green Blue" calibrated option it's up  instead of "gray level" ?

May be Gary can help you and add his opinion :)

care to share what results you are getting, what software you are using and what initial settings you are using (via s screen shot).  That will help diagnose.  Otherwise, not sure you will get much targeted helped.

10x8 takes lots of work. I've spent six hours (possibly all wasted) on this so far, and Flickr won't upload it.

So here it is from another site. Chamonix 10x8, Nikkor-M 300mm/f9, Ilford Hp5+ @640, Diafine in BTZS tubes, Epson V850 scan:
