The de rigueur bluebell photo to signify spring (I don't actually like bluebells much; the cowslip or it's more common cousin, the primrose, are my spring flowers of choice). Portra 400.

In contrast, another spring scene – a chalky downland field a few miles away in Dorset. T-max 100

That place is called "Place de la République"  in Paris

the statue is like the Statue of Liberty at NYC
2 symbols :
first near this place there are bombings last November, homage to the victims
secondly, there are currently young people who show they are there "night and day"

(called "Night group standing")
demonstrating against the current emergency law, for freedom and full employment
Very symbolic place !

Dear Doc Henry,

thank you for your warm welcome. My little problem is, that i didn't use english since 1979. So i speak ni anglais nor french.

But i like your thread very much, because digital photography is the knowledge before Ptelomy, only film is abel to show the world as 3-dimensional

The digital post should be the least of your worries, I'd be more wary of my wife if she saw me hammer three nails into the door-frame to suspend my films, LOL.

Good to see the E6 working, I have shot much slide, from the late 60's in fact, and never been brave enough to process any. B&W, simple, I started work doing this, but colour or slides, no way.

Also good to see others being braver than me though, excellent result Chris.

Gary

She lets me get away with quite a lot these days!

This may be posted here before - if so, forgive me. I am re-scanning many films with my Coolscan now. This way I found out, that I can get better results than with my older attempts :)

You probably remember the photos I have taken from my back deck—we are on a tidal estuary which empties into a bay on the Northumberland Strait. So shellfish in shallow tidal waters are sometimes contaminated with coliforms, which is a shame as we have lots of mussels, clams and oysters. It struck me as funny that a notice would appear on that telephone pole, as it looks like it warns against eating a cotriade at my house!
