EoinC Posted April 17, 2016 Share #14062 Posted April 17, 2016 One of a series I did last week for a photo essay on the Welsh town of Port Talbot. Leica M4, 35mm Summaron, Ilford HP5 pushed two stops. Best wishes all, Colin http://colintempleton.com I like this shot, Colin. Composition and grain give it a great sense of presence - Thank you.

Popular Post gbealnz Posted April 17, 2016 Popular Post Share #14070 Posted April 17, 2016 Right, back into it, slightly. I am waiting on a new (to me) Plustech scanner, but the processed film is annoying me, so I dug out the BEOON again, had to "scan" and post something. In keeping with the Brit-In-Zurich fogmeister, I grabbed a couple of the neighbours a few days ago. Hopefully not too boring. M6 50 Summicron Collapsible. gbealnz Posted April 17, 2016 Share #14072 Posted April 17, 2016 And one last post, for now. Received a new toy, and tried a new film. Shot a roll through it yesterday, very happy. I'll leave the rest until the Plustech arrives. M7 28 Elmarit Fomapan 200 R09 1:50 BEOON scanned Welcome, dear visitor! EoinC Posted April 17, 2016 Share #14076 Posted April 17, 2016 ...I'll leave the rest until the Plustech arrives... Unless the Plustech is arriving in 5 minutes, please don't. Keep that BEOON cranking out the good stuff. We honestly don't mind if you scan again later...

We honestly don't mind if you scan again later... LOL, I am THE most impatient sod on the internet, believe me. It has been "coming" for a week now, it must be close. I'll wait, I want to "compare" the BEOON to the Plustech scans, it will be interesting I reckon. Gary
Doc Henry Posted April 17, 2016 Author Share #14078 Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) Gary , if I want to be frank, I find that the scan by Beoon is not beautiful, technically speaking not the photo there is something.... it is ultimately 100% digital. The better is the enlarger on photographic paper, for the quality of the negative .... except the last pictures that you posted (very superb horses in b&w) but those before , post production changed ?Regards H. gbealnz Posted April 17, 2016 Share #14079 Posted April 17, 2016 Can't argue with you Henry, but surely any form of scanning is also digital? BEOON with Fuji is for sure digital. And yes a wet print is the ultimate, but how do i show you without involving some form of digital intervention? Gary
