Ian, I really like how the tree, and esp. its branches and twigs, are separated against the just-blurred-enough background. A very appealing photograph (and the other two aren't bad either). The colour tree picture has a fantastic palette, really amazing.

Have been struggling to keep up with the pace of the thread recently :D . Have a few new photos from March.

A few Asian Reservoir Dogs by any chance? You caught a very cool moment, I think.

David, I always link from Flickr (which adds its own unwanted sharpening upon upload of images) so my knowledge isn't the best on this, but I know that there is a "save for web" option in Photoshop which, through a measure of, to me, undecipherable magic, manages to reduce the file size by a great deal without affecting quality much (and one can choose how much using a slider). There might be other and better ways to do it.

I am thinking the fuzziness of my images when posted could be that I am using Rodinal and clearly reducing the file size to 500KB. Is there a way to get images to be smaller in size when posted ?

Whoa, whoa everybody - slow-down!  How can a person keep up with the rate of uploads and do justice to so many great images  :0

Very impressed by (amongst so many others) the Pan F tones of the KL skyscrapers.  A film I have yet to try...

First upload for a while - MP, Summaron 35mm f2.8, Acros 100, Rodinal.

Hi everyone,

I've been away for a while (... leaving again in a couple of days!), popped in a few times fleetingly and the thread is well and truly on a gallop with so many wonderful photographs. So fantastic to see. I've flown through the pages and not really feasted on the fare.

I'm going to Melbourne for 3 weeks and there should be some autumn colours out. I'd thought of travelling really light: M6 with a 28 and 50. Now I'm getting tempted to take the FM3a with a 40 for colour too. There will likely be a chance to get out of city as well. Any thoughts would be welcome.

Here's a photograph taken in Amsterdam between Christmas and the New Year.

Thanks Christoph, I didn't take part this time but I'm happy to see quite a few colour images. My experience is the Barnack Challenge crowd much prefers black and white. Is the tide turning perhaps?

For the ones that have a Barnack camera and/or are interested in the Barnack challenge,

you can see the pictures of the latest Barnack challenge here - by nature those are of course all analogue.

And, if you think you should be voting, you can do it here

Rollei 35T, Marco Eagle 640 @ 200, svn

I was somewhat disappointed when exposing this film at iso 640. At iso 200 the colours start to shine, though the grain still looks like Rodinal 1:10...

I like the combination, Jean Marc - Kodachrome, sandstorm, and someone else having a flat tyre

Nice shot, and good to see someone not too scared to pull out a camera in a sandstorm.

Our names might be confusing, the shot is Marc's aka Benqui !

I believe this was shot on velvia:

This photo is beautiful David.

As you said , I have allowed to reduce (it was 840x1280px) to 550x838px

Your original reduced 550x838

and a bit corrected (same size) : I add a little contrast and extra light

Your opinion ?

To reduce picture size, you have many free photo reduction software * and I believe also

in recent LR.

Despite the unseasonal warm weather much earlier in the year, March was still quite wintry.

I was viewing on my iPad, had to get to my desktop in order to view it large. LOVE IT.

Great leading lines, so much to see, and super deep blacks.
