Thanks Adam for your nice comment

Brittany , a place I recommand you if you come here one day !

A very relaxing place versus NYC

Best

Henry

Henry - would love to come a visit!  But you should know that NYC is also quite relaxing; particularly just before the sun comes up - when most people are still sleeping :D

On the north Spanish coast twixt Santander & Bilbao last June.  M7 & 35mm Summaron.

Portra 160, developed and scanned by UK Film Lab - expensive, but high quality results. No removal of dust spots etc unlike negs that I have back from other labs.

Keith - love the colors from that Portra ;)

Must have been quite a close encounter with a 28mm lens - no wonder she is glaring at you Adam!

Keith - yes, indeed, we had our moment together.  But I can assure you it was very brief - it's not like I asked to stay for tea :D

I've got some slides being developed there and only 1 mile from my home, should be able to share some soon

First one just needed a bit more to the right for symmetry

I know. I am seeing this on many of my photos when taking pictures from, what I consider, dead-centre. I think I have a bias (or the opposite of vertigo) when I look up !

I did think it could be something parallax-related when using a rangefinder but I would assume this would be negligible, and rejected this as wishful thinking.

No they refer to it as Europe, I didn't think people in Wales had a sense of humour [emoji1] they probably won't when we thrash you in the 6 nations

I thought Europe was in England and Paris was a country ?

We don't when it comes to rugby. We will always have the memory of 26 September 2015 !

By the way, has anybody used Fomapan 100 4x5 sheet film ? I was thinking of getting some as it appears reasonable value (£35 for 50 sheets) to start my large format journey ...

i have. It's pretty good. This is exposed at 80ISO. Ilfosol 3, 6minutes @20 degrees

Thanks for this.

That looked like a tricky exposure, of which you did a very good job. I will get some!

Looks like it will be a few days before I can contribute again. We had a sewer backup and a flooded basement. The house is in chaos, and the consolations of chemical photography will have to wait a short while. It does look like you're all doing a fantastic job in the meantime!

Chris

Dreadful! I hope you get back to normality soon.

Llangollen Railway. Hasselblad with Portra 160. I was pleasantly surprised how well colour could be processed in B&W.

Here is the equipment for macrophotography I often take with me

during bike trekking or walk

Focus at 0.60 cms  with Macro Elmar 90 versus 0.70 usually

Manfrotto light carbon fiber tripod + M7 + Macro-Elmar 90 + Macro Adapter

+ Viewfinder magnifier 90° (to view from the top) .

I recognize that this is a bit complicated but can make macro 1:3  ,

but it is less heavy than the Leica SLR that I had  ! :)
