Neither of my M6s is exactly mint, but they're certainly in great condition for 30 year old cameras. Just sold one of them, but the other one remains close to my heart. :-) Ric

A miller Posted January 31, 2016 Share #10442 Posted January 31, 2016 I like them both Adam. To be honest when I saw the first one (and also same with this one) my first thought was "selective colouring" like we used to do with oils on a mono print many years ago. And I believe can be "dialed in" with some specific cameras. It has a B&W coloured look. Lovely. Gary Thanks, Gary. I know what you mean, and I didn't intend to produce this look. But the steel is gray with a very slight bluish tinge and the path is a dark gray. So in processing the image I tried to reproduce the shades of gray and the punchiness of the red. I still think that the very first photo that I shared a few weeks ago (which I have on my flickr stream) is my favorite. It is a great foot-path and one to visit on your next trip to NYC
lleo Posted January 31, 2016 Share #10443 Posted January 31, 2016 Taking this story onward . . . that might even be Andre Agassi. LMAO. Yeah, a little old. And where's Steffi?
lleo Posted January 31, 2016 Share #10444 Posted January 31, 2016 When I see so much meat,it 's enough to become vegetarian and let the beasts quiet . No more intensive farming I guess we'll get along quite good. I AM vegetarian since... probably 15 years, as well as for animal rights and on and on. lleo Posted January 31, 2016 Share #10445 Posted January 31, 2016 Last week came across these old trucks in North Yorkshire UK. Leica MP with 28mm Elmarit V4 and Fomapan 400 D76 1+1 11mins 45 secs 20 degrees C first 30 secs inversions plus 3 inversions every 30 seconds. Really nice. You need to give a call to that guy... what's his name? That from "wheeler dealers"
lleo Posted January 31, 2016 Share #10446 Posted January 31, 2016 Keith inspires me and I find two pictures of the facade of the Cathedral of Nantes (15th century) roman style , taken at the same moment , one with my M8 and one with my M7 both with 50 Summilux A. To compare , I slighly cropped M7 photo because of the 1.3 factor of the M8 M8 -160 Isos L1011366nantescatm8lfht+++testfvsdig900+++.jpg M7- Fuji Acros 100 Image8catnantesfujireallfhtcf+++testfvsd900+++.jpg My opinion : More details in the shadow , in the grooves , more nuance of the stone , better definition , difference in general rendering ! It is certain that the lines and edges of the first picture (smoothed pixels) are sharper , but you lose detail and nuance for a stone of this cathedral. The surface of the stone composed of grain of sand conglomerated is completely "smoothed" by the camera software so that it lacks details of real stone. Same case as the previous photo of Keith (M240) vs. M7(?) for stone and yours ? then the "real stone" , it is on which photo, Gentlemen ? Best Henry I stand with Gary this time. But only for one particular: the highlights on the... how's thei name? Those kind of huge chandeliers. Maybe it had to be a little underexposed, but then maybe the shadows would have been too dark.
lleo Posted January 31, 2016 Share #10447 Posted January 31, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks, James. I appreciate your opinion and fresh look. This wasn't my keeper of the ones I took, and neither is this one I am posting here, though it illustrates how the arch isn't mirrored on the left side. That Fuji Velvia is quite vibrant and alive... Thanks again... Adam is that natural or you boosted the colour?
lleo Posted January 31, 2016 Share #10448 Posted January 31, 2016 Leica MP Summicron 28 Asph Ilford HP5 Frozen Fog over our city minus 5°C Fog "microdroplets" well reproduced by grains of film no "smoothing" pixels Image1brouilcanhp6sflrcrlfht+++950-2.jpg Rg Henry Gary and RP you can believe me it's better in print RP , glad see you back Really nice. I would have opened up a little the point of view to have a little less space in the center, but that's nice.
