I have some very happy memories of visits to Sorrento. 2 hours ago, erl said: Sorrento and that pier are the 'dreamtime' of my family, especially my children. Sorrento has undeniably gone through many changes over the years, and not necessarily for the better - although it's certainly not alone in that regard. Still a lovely place to visit on a quiet sunny weekday, and importantly they still have "Australia's best vanilla slices" not far from the beach there. I'm really happy that my picture inspired some good memories. You'll probably both be sad to hear that pictured is the replacement pier under construction - the old ramshackle one bursting with character and fond memories was sadly torn down a few months ago.

No easy thing with a TLR, even with a tripod (which I assume you used). So very seamless and yet.... A pentych? Thank you sincerely Ken. Yes, I used a tripod and a Rolleiflex gadget called a "Panoramakopf" that enables the camera to rotate a set amount, clicking into place for successive shots with a slight overlap in order to achieve a panoramic effect. Fun and frustrating all at once (trying to get the tripod perfectly level is the frustrating part). I understand the proper(?) word is a "Quintych". stray cat Posted May 11, 2024 Share #90154 Posted May 11, 2024 Thank you oldwino. I'm going to actively resist admitting that it seemed one sure way of finishing a roll that has been languishing in the Rolleiflex for quite a few months now! 3
