This Summarit  does not give my images the look I want.
It needs much postwork to get rid of the modern
nearly digital rendering of this lens.
Luckily I only borrowed for carrying out my new M3.

I can only too well imagine how certain lenses may fit, or not fit with one's visualisation of a motive. Whatever the circumstances here, you end-result looks impressive. And if you are after a non-digital rendering, the Fomapan 100 in AM74 certainly helps 😊

I agree with both, the bomb-costs as well as the looks of the film. And I like to add that you took a very nice picture!

I love the subtle colour rendering of your pictures. Which Kodak film did you use?

I like the looks, overall subdued, but with the strong dark greens int he foreground. You were certainly out on a Mission there, perhaps to catch the "Shape of Water"? 🐸

Thanks.
But there happens a mistake in the caption it was Foma400 and not Foma100.
Sorry my mistake (copy&paste.........)

I just see the same "copy&paste devil" it must be Foma100.
Foma400 in AM74 is the only 35mm film developer I use.

Sorry

Thank you very much! The two pictures are photographed on Kodak Gold 200 @ ISO 100. To answer everything right away: The negatives were photographed directly (Nikon D800E adapted to Olympus OM bellows with slide copier attachment "Slide Copier" and Zuiko Auto-1:1 Macro 1:4/80 mm). A small Kaiser light plate serves as the light source. The NEF files were converted into 16-bit files using the negative film function from RawTherapee. Tone curve adjustment, sharpening, desaturation etc. also in RawTherapee. The original character of the film may therefore have been lost somewhat.

In my experience both, the Fomapan 100 and 400 are as "old style" as you can buy film these days. So I stand by my comment 😉

The question is, of course, how much original character any film has, considering the digitalisation options everyone has to entertain to show anything here... (Having said that, there are differences, and personal preferences, between film - of course.)
