Like a swatch cloth of Manhattan during the day...nothing particularly focused on; just a snippet of life here...

Adam, I suspect that you took this photo just for the bright colors :)

Can I be a heretic and say I prefer the Velvia colours to those of Kodachrome?

No? OK, don't mind me.

Chris ... heretic no, but someone who is a connoisseur and who loves the beautiful and natural colors as in Velvia.....in addition , it has no veil  :)

yes, and this photo illustrates the principle that green foilage in the sunlight tends to have a higher luminence than its exposrue reading, but about 1/2 stop...

Thanks, Henry. I do think there are some nuances in the photo that will age well with time.   And I was indeed impressed by the daylight colors obtained from the tungsen film.

I bought an ME Super somewhere in the early 80's to replace the K1000 I bought in '77. I still have both, and still have a soft spot for Pentax film cameras (of which I seem to have nine. How did that happen?)

Thank you very much for your kind words gentleman. The longer I look at the photo and the more I talk to photographers there are things which I should improve next time. Maybe the shadow on the right side is a bit too close at the eye whereas I try to get a catch light in the eyes. But nobody is perfect, life would be boring if you suceed after the first try.

best regards

Marc

This would be my second version. I tried to illuminate the eyes more and to cut out the black region on the upper right side which blended into her head. What do you think?
