I'm trying to find the connection between the Alphorns and the Sherlock Holmes Museum ... must be something sinister...

Thank you for your nice impressions from your trip to Japan. The one time I was there I loved the peacefulness of the parks and temples. When we visited the Ryoanji Temple, even busloads of unruly schoolchildren amply disturbed the atmosphere. A teacher asked us, where are you from? As no-one outside Europe knows the name of the city we live in we answered Amsterdam. Oh he said, you come from Denmark ...

There's no connection, Christoph. These players just happened to be performing on the leafy grounds outside the museum... in Meiringen, Switzerland when we saw them last spring while on a bicycle tour.

Journey's end.  May have been as many as 40 refugees on this inflatable when it landed at 3am.

That's what you say. Just remember that Sherlock Holmes and his nemesis Moriarty died in the Rychenbach falls near where you took this picture  😜
