From the South Dorset Ridgeway last month. Only 4 weeks previously there were still dozens of swallows here feeding up prior to their long flight to Africa and the hedgerows were still heavy with summer fruit. Winter seems to come quickly up here.

Strip lynchets near Bincombe. A common feature of the chalk downland, they are particularly prevalent in this part of Dorset.

very beautiful, Henry.  This has the reddish hues in the orange that is distinctive of Ektar, which I like a lot.

What Adam sees are the reddish brown vine plants (or vine stem)  cut for the vigor  of growing in spring.

Thanks for your comment Adam

Bonjour Henri,

My favorite Champagne!

Pierre

You are a connoisseur Pierre

One bottle of this famous Champagne (75 cl)  costs 37 Euros :D

As you know champagne is the only wine that we can drink throughout a meal

from entrée to dessert.

Thanks for commenting

For Adam , a picture with M8-Summilux 50 Asph (320 Isos) :

less vivid , less redish , less warm as atmosphere  !

I post just for comparison , forgiveness for this insert

The reality is well reproduced by Kodak Ektar film

Three pictures from a summery Iceland, right now it looks quite a bit more white...

All shot with an M6 on LomoChrome 200, with a Canon 35/2 and Summicron 90/2. I don't know if I really like this film. The colors are quite nice, somehow a older look to it, yet the grain is a bit to steep in my opinion (or a mere confirmation of my lack of scanning abilities...). What do you think?

Interesting reactions to the vignette on the Silbury Hill photo.  I used it to enhance the dominance of the hill, to concentrate the eye on it rather than have a general landscape that just so happens to include the hill.  Sans vignette version below...

Just about every year at the primary school in Chiseldon we would be loaded one summer day onto a coach (from Rimes of Swindon) and taken to Avebury, WKLB and Silbury Hill for a day trip and picnic. As far as I can remember, it always had a vignette in those days...... :p

This spot is overrun by tourists (and someone visiting from Los Angeles definitely counts as a tourist in the eyes of an SF local), but it's hard not to get a nice picture.
