Meandering. Took a couple days off from the garden, only to discover that my indolence had the price of losing some delicious asparagus due to bolting. Made me think of our old friend, who has not contributed for some time, riding his bicycle across Germany, and occasionally providing a great photo of asparagus being grown in long, beautiful rows. Good asparagus is bad thing to waste.

So, in honor of that old friend:..."What the lazy gardener saw."

Thank you Wayne for your generous dedication.

Had some hardware problems (  HD of my I-Mac and myself ) but  I'm back and kicking. Just have to catch up with my scanning.

Here my picture for you: Clematis alpina  ( actually found in the Alps, May 2021 )

Good to hear all is well, and you are kicking again.

I suffered from a self-inflicted, clematis related, heartbreak earlier this summer. On my attempt to clear-up the grass growing around the base of two of our stands of clematis, I accidentally clipped a couple of vines for the lovely flowers. I did not realize my mistake until about a half hour passed and I noticed leaves and flowers wilting. Great anguish. For some reason, you came to my mind at that point, too. To the beauty of the clematis!

Best,

Wayne

I think it´s called  transcontinenal synchronicity, subspecies clematis—related.
