Shades of summer, oh how I'm longing for its return. But the optimism I feel in this photo from the bright colours and perceived warmth is a comfort.

Another view of the same location.

For me there is something "Turneresque" in this scene. The colour, the light, its lovely.

I've lost myself in the eyes of your model Marc, the soft swirl of tone and form in this lovely, atmospheric photo brought me there and I am a happy traveller.

Winter walk #2     What stopped me to take the photo was the fascinating collection of structures--micro and macro--- and the resulting pattern...  ( and btw the Distagon is really a beast of a lens concerning sharpness and rendering. Have been using it too little... )

Your recent winter scenes Klaus have been most engaging however the "Vineyard" series from December lingers especially no 3. Its the train in the valley that does it for me.

I don´t know what to make of this picture, bateleur. All I know it´s among the best I've seen for quite a while..  ( btw I can understand the ladies state of deep thought---I presume the meaning of Wittgensteins  "For the totality of facts determines what is the case, and also whatever is not the case." is just dawning on her... As said, a big "Chapeau" for the idea..

Thank you Klaus, I am at a loss for words but perhaps there is some sense in the senselessness of the photo 😉

Thanks a lot Charles for your kind comments! At the beginning I thought that maybe it is too close, but then I also liked her direct view .

Thanks for that.  I have noticed this effect in a number of images taken with on film (mostly Ektar).  The colours are quite typical of Kent and the English Channel (an area Turner knew well).  I am not sure I have managed to emulate the effect with the M9 or SL so I am thinking this is perhaps one of the particular qualities arising from use of film.  Something about the way colour is rendered combined with the grain.

Outstanding. I haven't seen an example of that level of happiness since advent of World Wide Webb.....and all of its blessings.

Thanks for posting. A very uplifting photo.

Best,

Wayne
