poppers Posted October 20, 2015 Share #7367 Posted October 20, 2015 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks Doc. I moved house earlier this year and think this is my first post since then. I've just got round to developing some films and have tried a couple of different developers. I'm trying to standardize. I did really like the results of d76/id11 and it's cheap. I've tried ilford ddx, convenient and most recently Kodak Xtol. I wanted to use Xtol as its supposed to be less harmful than some other developers and I feel better knowing this with a young son around. As I've got 5l of xtol mixed and plenty of tri x hopefully I'll be contributing more to this forum. I've finally got a temp darkroom albeit basic and hope to wet print soon too. Hopefully the scanner and software haven't papered over the cracks and I can get some decent prints without too much bother from the negs. A miller Posted October 21, 2015 Share #7375 Posted October 21, 2015 Superb Adam ...as usual Regards Henry What exposure time you had to have so smooth water and what diaphragm ? Thank you thanks very much, Henry. I believe that the aperture was f22 and the exposure time was about 30 seconds due to the reciprocity failure of the Ektar, which is quite severe after about 8 seconds... (8 secs requires 14 secs, 15 secs requires 30 secs, 30 secs requires 68 seconds, etc...)

My mechanical Leicas continue to work perfectly, never any issues whatsoever. The occasional cleaning, and the pictures keep coming. The only batteries that go dead are in my wife's iPhone. There are no dead pixels, and a modest drop onto the floor does not screw things up. Vive mon M2 et M3. And Vaux Le Vicomte is looking pretty good. Thanks.
