I have stated sometimes earlier, that I also think that it is totally appropriate to use post processing software on former analog material - but I accept the different opinion of people who see this a bit more dogmatic. In most cases I also just work with the base sliders for white balance, contrast and exposure, but sometimes it is much more fun to dig deeper and use some of the many other adjustment tools, too.
