Nice one Marc. Have you thought of using flash or reflectors? In this photo it could have lifted the right-hand side if the face to give more definition in particular to her left eye.

Thanks a lot philipus! That is the only bad thing with analog photography. I see at home what I should have corrected during the shooting. 😉Very seldom I use a flash, but only a direct flash with color film to achieve this kind of 80-ies look. In this case, I like it as it is, but sometimes I really should use a reflector.

Good to see you back here more regularly :) It's a pity to here about your software problems, but as you pointed out, this doesn't matter that much - as long as you are able to post a pic or two once in a while!

Due to the time of year I focused on autumn colors lately. So please excuse my repeated posts on this theme:

One of my favorite pictures with the Minolta Autocord so far. What do you think despite the rather boring composition?

Old Ektachrome

I like it, James. Separation and colours give the feel of the Sunlight on a cold day.

I like it, Adam. Coincidentally, my daughter’s recent installation for her photography degree was a series of Tri-X shots in Auckland of her walk home from university, with windows into parallel worlds. All were on Tri-X. Without my daughter knowing it, the one of the triangular window in the top right happened to be a house I lived in in 1981, when I went to university in Auckland.

She got various reactions, including people being disturbed by the images, which, as she pointed out, were visions available to anyone walking past.

Keep up the good work, Adam.

Sincere thanks, Eoin - and I think we've said this before but your daughter is mega-talented.  That is some series she put together.  I'd love to see it in person.  Reflects a great deal of artistic thought 👌

I hope I get at least one or two.  I had to return to the same spot again early this morning for some unfinished business :)

My first instinct was stolen by Eoin and I was happy to have it validated when I scrolled down and saw his comments.  Really good!

Yes I know what you mean. I use a digital camera as flash meter for this purpose. A slight hassle but I see what I get and it is slightly easier that way than a flash meter. After a few test shots I just move the Cactus transmitter to whichever film camera I am using and fire away.

A more complete mural in Tbilisi, on Dimitri Uznadze street on the west bank of the Mtkvari river. Interestingly, at the Google Maps street view the mural isn't there, so it must have been added quite recently.

... I do hope more of us go back to film as it will reduce film prices which now seem very high.

Unless other manufacturers enter the market, I think it is more likely that increased demand will be used to justify higher prices.
