Truly excellent micro-selfie, Edward. Very enjoyable, and has everything such a photo should have. I'm so happy to see someone else shooting like this; makes me feel less strange :D

Thanks Philip! I knew when I took it it was Philip-style :D

Inspired by Edward's pictures from Jordan I had to revisit my stock from a trip there 4 years ago. I'm not sure, which of the pictures happened to be posted here before, so please excuse any repetition.

Very nice take on the same area, James. Love how the Ektar reproduces the rock color differently.

Here, today, it was too hot to contemplate spending too much time outside so I fired up the time machine and scanned some old negatives:

Amazing series of scans today, Phil. Love them all and especially with your style of documentary photography.

Another great example showing what can be achieved with Color Implosion in the right hands. Very nice indeed.

Such a great shame this emulsion is no longer available. I should have filled the fridge-freezer when it was under £5 a roll.

Whatever the reason, its an excellent series with the Ektar.  I wish you lots of joy with the X1.  The one I flirted with didn't agree from a cost-benefit perspective as the lack of dust removal made me crazy and I didn't notice a material difference in scan quality from the 9000.  My dream, though, is to get the X5 for its speed (and to also allow me to spend more of my lottery winnings on a Technorama) :)

Thank you Adam. Well I think it is the film actually. Ektar is really amazing in terms of its post-processing "malleability". This was scanned on a new to me X1 which unfortunately isn't working quite as it should but when it does it gives scans that are very pleasant to work with. I feel I'm only scratching the surface though in terms of getting the workflow right.

Great set, Phil.  Do you miss the Plus-X?  Was it like a slow Tri-X with a little less grain?

Another excellent one, Pete.  I hope you digital mates are enjoying your shots with this as much as we are... :)

YEs, I'd love that, and it would give me a chance to spend more time listening to my favorite radio station in the middle east, Bliss 104.3, with Ban and Tam having the best morning show around!

Thank you Adam :)

I hope you do visit there one day. It's not too far from your favorite spot on the dead sea.

This captures, better and more succinctly than I would have been able to, precisely what I felt when I saw Phil's photo. It's a real cracker, I think.

Love this shot, Phil. The tight framing makes the subject(s) almost abstract looking, whilst retaining identification - if you know what I mean. But then again you are masterful when it comes to boats, my son has your sculling photograph framed and hanging in his living room. I look at it every time I visit.

This was one of the first images I took with my M6TTL and posted here..... Stray Cat rightly pointed out that a little bit of over exposure would have helped..... I have adjusted it in lightroom and this is the result ...

I like this one a lot. I'm a big fan of reflections generally, as some may have guessed, and I think this one is particularly good with the car coinciding perfectly with the kettle.
