Today I did the last film in my push-pull experiments with XP2. It did very well at ISO 100. Nice negatives to scan, with contrast easily added back. I dug out my 1976 SMC Pentax 2/55 that took the last two portraits of Pippa. It is sharp, but not scary, so some of that detail must have come from the Acutol.

K2, 2/55, XP2, ISO 100, HC-110, X1 scans.

Yes, four minutes in the motorised Rondinax. Every negative required a tiny reduction in highlights, and exposure turned down about 1/4 stop. I don't know whether that was due to some inaccuracy in the K2's meter (and I was using it on auto-exposure, and it doesn't have an exposure lock to allow for easy compensation in backlit scenes), or whether I need to rethink the four minute development time. I have been finding that the continuous agitation of the Rondinax allows for a 20% reduction in development time, so maybe ~3m15s would be better. I'll have to play around a bit more. To be honest, getting it within 1/4 stop of perfect is pretty good for me!

I will be developing in a regular tank, are all the times you have given from the Rondinax?
