Bateleur Posted November 3, 2017 Share #42081 Posted November 3, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I stood next to this gentleman today and we ended talking about Leonard Cohen whose freshly painted 10 storeys high mural we both had silently been admiring seconds earlier. ( Leonard Cohen passed away last year and the city funded a big mural in the neighbourhood where he lived ) It turns out our friend and Leonard were neighbours ( we all live in Montreal ) and he misses him dearly. I asked him if i can take his portrait. He politely agreed. Shot with Olympus PENFT half frame and Zuiko 42mm 1.2 Lovely anecdote and photo and I like the idea of a tribute by the city to a remarkable and talented man.

stray cat Posted November 3, 2017 Share #42083 Posted November 3, 2017 Bermudas! For that price you could have two or three fine pair of Bermuda shorts.......Especially if you go for the black socks. ; 0 Has to be long white socks doesn't it, preferably with thongs? Topped off of course with a Hawaiian shirt and a Panama hat. Now that's style!

Steve Ricoh Posted November 3, 2017 Share #42088 Posted November 3, 2017 ^ I like the effect, perhaps all shots should be roll-ends. That fence plays with my eyes, my mind tells me it should be upright, gravity and all that. Nice hand shadow.

Monday night we will attend a memorial concert in his honour, with his son and many other important musicians. I ski in winter with one of his cousins. Great photo.

edwardkaraa Posted November 3, 2017 Share #42091 Posted November 3, 2017 Very good, Edward. The contrast and colors you obtained from the Portra 800 are interesting - very much unlike what I get. It's interesting to see equally lovely yet different results from the same film with different development workflows. Thanks Adam! Indeed the digitizing software makes a huge difference (as well as the scanner hardware as well, but we both use Nikon scanners).

Keith (M) Posted November 3, 2017 Share #42094 Posted November 3, 2017 I have have been away - but now I am back Arrived home a week ago after two months in Spain, where unfortunately photography took something of a back-seat. Anyway, back in mid-August I had a roll of Acros 100 in my R5 and took some fifteen shots of the Kennet & Avon canal - then realised I had forgotten to change the ISO on the camera and had metered at ISO 320. Doh! Long story short - I shot the rest of the roll at ISO 100 then developed it today in Rodinal @ 5:100 for one hour. One of the ISO 320 images:- Welcome, dear visitor!
