Great timeless photo, Phil.  To me, the waiter is precisely in the place that you want him to be.  And the slight motion blur is a plus and not a minus.  Everything sings very well and congrats on the wonderful photo!

Edward - The only thing that is shameful about this photo is your half case :) :)     Now take that thing off and enjoy that skin-to-skin sensation that Leica intended!  Don't be afraid - your skin won't hurt the camera! LOL

Very very interesting, Wayne.  Pretty much the result that Adox claims on the packaging of the film  :)

This is just fabulous!!  Thanks for sharing and more please!

Hey Phil - As I reflect on this photo more and more, I am thinking there really is something missing on the wall ---->  a photo of the Dead Sea!!!  Ha ha LOL.  Just kidding.

Thanks so much Adam. And, by Jove, you're right!

I struggle with both use of Hasselblad Xpan and with photos of old cars. I dearly love the latter, and cannot fathom letting the former go until I have given it my best shot. I have taken numerous photos of old cars and usually found them to be somewhat sterile....Cliche. It puzzles me. While standing with them they seem to have some mystique that is always lost in the photograph. Maybe it is context. I like this one. An old Packard.

Well you've scored maximum points on both counts here Wayne - thoughtful composition and pictorial use of the panorama, and a powerful suggestion of what the car was in its heyday, and how it is now being left behind with other priorities taking precedence. A fabulous picture.

Adam - thanks for the feedback on Ektar, I've downloaded the app you suggested.

I've been away from the computer all weekend so will have to catch up properly in a while, including watching your video (not working only my phone.)

But your thrashing the rental car rings a chord! Definitely a crime i can confess to!!! And I agree that getting up super early for the best light definitely feeds the soul, even when the light doesn't deliver - my Saturday was a total fail with a sea of thick cloud and no light worth capturing - I enjoyed the extended weekend anyway!! :)

Trying my best to keep up with this thread but it's moving so fast! So many great images.

Spending some time in California and rekindling my love for slide film. But first, one from my first love, TRI-X

This is one of the nicest pictures I've seen of the Amsterdam canals - it has human interest, is (relatively) uncluttered and has the barge coming through, with beautiful subdued colours. Lovely.

Forgot to mention this one Adam - the classic "orange and teal" complementary colours giving a powerful contrast of hue. This is a striking landscape photograph - I think Eliot Porter would have been proud to sign his name to this one.

I had to look twice to recognize the location, although it is not difficult to recognize the bridge in the background. I have seen these hot rods quite some times, but never tried them myself. Was it great fun? Maybe its worth a try when I have visitors. Thanks for sharing this picture from my hometown :)

I didn't try them. I just happened to be on the pavement with my camera when this group pulled over to wait for the rest of the convoy to catch up. They'd been held up at the traffic lights. Looks like a fun activity, though.

Nice to know that Berlin is your hometown, James.
