Let's do another EKTAR vs PROVIA 100F comparison, shall we!!

From the lowest point on earth, right before that old couple that I mentioned a while back shooed me off after I declined to take a photo of them b/c I didn't have any time b/c I left my cell phone in my car!

With the Hassy SWC at Dawn.

Here's the Ektar

If you really want to know: Ektar. It looks more natural, strangely enough.

Great clouds indeed!

The film grain heightens the fabulous emotion and movement in the clouds and the total scene has a sort of cinematic feel as in an old B&W movie.

The foreground balance of trees and buildings also heightens the sense of movement.

This one should be enlarged and framed.

Thanks, everyone!!!  Great feedback, as always.  You've focused my eyes on this thing called "cyan" (which I had to look up) in the foreground in the Provia and I will see what I can do with it.   Really appreciate it!

Adam, it's not easy .. after a second view I would prefer the PROVIA.

Nice photo Adam. Ektar does it for me.

For this particular shot I prefer Ektar for the slight magenta cast in the foreground, where Provia surprisingly looks rather cyan. Both are really excellent, just minor rendering differences.

Provia just has more of everything in this particular scene. But I'm not about to abandon Ektar here :o - I think it's likely more accurate to a soft, quiet and peaceful dawn. So Kodak gets my vote - just!

Ektar for me in this comparison. The overall ambience in the Provia shot to me has a bit to much of cyan, esp. in the water in the front. Also I like the stronger accentuation due to the slightly higher contrasts in the Ektar shot. Both are very pleasing, nonetheless :)

Ektar! (Can't believe I'm saying it)

If you really want to know: Ektar. It looks more natural, strangely enough.

This one is really cool. The wide format suits the situation very well and the picture leaves room for thought.

From my road trip series I brought this very quick shot. Cropped for better composition.
