Another great photograph with fantastic composition!

I follow your work both here and on Flickr and I'm finding it a helpful guide to 'tune' my own vision (without copying you of course). I now firmly believe that I walk past many opportunities when I'm out, and that I need to open my eyes more to 'see' photographically.

Please post more of your excellent images.

I agree with Steve :)

Great eyes for catching  "at the right moment" à la manière de Henri Cartier Bresson

It's difficult , very difficult IMO to do that  ... great patience needed too !

Great work , and in film it's better

I think Brendan must print some of his masterpieces  pictures , framed and hanged on wall

[...] You don't need lightmeter like my M7

Contrast, definition, black and grey tones are superb . It's perfect :)

Henry

Thanks for the kind comment! To be honest, my first ever serious camera, a spared-from-mouth Pentax MX in the 1970ies was manual but had a meter with a traffic-light LED exposure indicator. Thus for me it is not truly "back to the roots", since I was raised in Silicium soil ;-) I do tend to get good results with exposure estimation in daylight, but then, everybody does. In difficult and/or low light situations I confess to being quite glad of my M7 with it's very reliable metering. Edited by schattenundlicht

Wayne I like all the series with this film Svema , something special , a vintage side.

Just for information:

Wayne , look at this banding in one picture scanned (Reflecta scan)

These bands at left , always appear at the same place

Thanks, Henry :)

It was perfectly safe and i stated off of the tracks :)

I used the long focal length bc the platform is not stable and shakes when the trains race by. So the very long focal length captures the train motion when they are very far away and when the platform has not yet started to shake. The compression effect is also nice...imo

Great pictures and color Adam.

Nice color and dynamic effect at right

... this time I think with your lighmeter :D

I noticed it's "no trespassing" :D ... and also in Spanish

Adam take care of you and thank you

The device of Pierre Auguste Renoir , our impressionist painter as you know

" I organize my subject as I want ,after I paint as a child"  :)  translation

like in photography ie taking time to photograph , choose your subject , compose, frame and release shutter , no useless (digital) shutter syndrome

Henri Cartier Bresson (HCB) inspires many of my pictures in Paris

It's very hard to obtain the quality and the inspiration of this great man.

Most of his pictures are in b&w  :)

Here some modest pictures during my several balads in Paris .

HCB has taken mostly street photos in Paris in the 1950's

(look at his book "de qui s'agit il" ? ("who is he"?)

The color is really superb

You took in the right moment to have this nice color

The clouds are great and the reflection on water gives a plus to the pictures

Thank you
