Keith,

Is Hinton Manor in the new railway museum? I was taken to see her stablemate, Cookham Manor, when I was a toddler when she was the last locomotive to pass through Chiseldon on the old Midland and South Western Junction Railway. Just a vague memory of the platform in front of The Elm Tree pub and clouds of steam!

C.

No Chris, it is in the Designer Outlet Centre which is in the former railway works.  The Steam Museum is adjacent and well worth a visit.

A very well caught set of lively expressions with pleasing tones too.

One thing you could check: If the cause is lack of movement during development, then the streaks often emanate from the sprocket holes.

Below, are two results from yesterday:

35115782644_2bcf1015bf_k.jpgimage533191 by W P_, on Flickr

Both shot with IID, 50mm 2.5 Hektor, HP5, and within same half hour.......About 12:00. The first was shot facing pretty much due west and the second, due east. It was a very bright day so both were shot at f16 and 1/500. Same roll of film developed in HC-110, with pretty vigorous agitation every minute for a period of 11 minutes.

I see banding in first photo but no noticeable banding in second.

Wayne nice pictures  :)

This thread is amazing , Wayne have pb with banding and many guys intervene.

What beautiful fellowship  :)

Wayne I see now the banding in first picture, vertical isn't ? may be when you scan

Same roll , and only one with discreet banding , for me not coming from development or fix

Wayne, hope you don't mind me chipping in, but I think banding of the type you've been showing is a product of digitising the image. Perhaps your scanner needs a clean, lube and adjust? Does your software have a "calibrate" function - this might alleviate it somewhat. I remember only seeing banding in my scans when the scanner wasn't running optimally or otherwise with an extremely dense negative. In any case, it's certainly fixable.
