Boat people... I remember I took 4 or 5 shots of this scene.

The last one shown here worked. It was also the last one on the roll of film.  :)

Christoph this is a wonderful picture. I really like pictures that speak to a location without making the location the primary focus, as this does so well.

Thank you Henry, I hadn't seen this. It's of course a wonderful development and I might try it sometime. I am not thrilled about the bit about slightly visible grain though. I shoot chromes to avoid that. Also, I was under the impression that transparency film which is exposed at something other than box speed needs different development. If that's true, how cannot the result not suffer if this film is meant to be developed without adjustment in development regardless of which EI within the 200-400 span the film was shot at? Then there's the question if this really is a new emulsion or a rebranding of some old stock they got their hands on. I saw someone suggest it's Agfa RSX II, but who knows.

Anyway, what's good is that film lives and that people are intent on keeping it that way.

Admittedly:

Not so sharp?

Grainy?

Imperfect color balance?

Hmmm... perhaps not the next all purpose slide film but could be a role player in certain situations.

Perhaps Henry will buy some and post results??

NYC June 2017. I can't remember which film or lens but I like the detail in this one ... not that you really see it in the compressed jpeg!

That was my standard everyday colour film, Fuji Superia 400. Just like this:

Yes, the Miata is Japanese, made by Mazda in Hiroshima. I bought this one in 1991, and it is bright red rather than grey:

So, did you stop for "Espresso?" :)

In USA we sometimes fortify our coffee with whiskey...............I find Irish to be best for that purpose.

No Wayne , pure and black coffee for me , without milk  :)

and without sugar to appreciate the perfume of the Arabica , odor of hazelnut or peanut

it depends on the origins :)

I am a purist like in photography film in color or b&w in separate cameras :D

I remind you that the Americans are a nation of immigrants, some have unfortunately forgotten

and therefore normal that you put the irish whiskey in the coffee :)
