Which developer did you use? I've just got some rolls of this film in 120, and wondering if it'll work fine with HC110. But love the grain you've got out of it! Doc Henry Posted July 10, 2017 Author Share #35884 Posted July 10, 2017 Nice purple. It is hard to choose between Superia and Vista. Wayne , I think you choose the less expensive Edward show us in street photos with Vista and for nature flowers or another natural subjects take Fuji Both are nice Henry

Both are very reasonably priced. I believe I prefer the Vista in bright light and Fuji in more subdued lighting.
philipus Posted July 10, 2017 Share #35890 Posted July 10, 2017 Thank you Henry, I hadn't seen this. It's of course a wonderful development and I might try it sometime. I am not thrilled about the bit about slightly visible grain though. I shoot chromes to avoid that. Also, I was under the impression that transparency film which is exposed at something other than box speed needs different development. If that's true, how cannot the result not suffer if this film is meant to be developed without adjustment in development regardless of which EI within the 200-400 span the film was shot at? Then there's the question if this really is a new emulsion or a rebranding of some old stock they got their hands on. I saw someone suggest it's Agfa RSX II, but who knows. Anyway, what's good is that film lives and that people are intent on keeping it that way. I just receive news from macodirect about this film. You know this ? https://www.macodirect.de/en/film/color-slide-films/5840/rollei-vario-chrome-135-36?crmailing=11537883&crcustomer=21183&crlink=27613577 Thanks

Philip, the best is to purchase some rolls and test I'll order 1 or 2 rolls just to see the color Some more information https://www.dpreview.com/news/3989555149/new-gear-rollei-vario-chrome-slide-film Rg H. Just like this: Orchid by chrism229, on Flickr Yes, the Miata is Japanese, made by Mazda in Hiroshima.
