Portra 400. I love the natural colors from this film, no post processing necessary!

Sunny, exactly my experience too with Kodak Portra !

No need post-processing as digital from the DNG-RAW.

A good shooting with a good camera equipped with a good lightmeter gives

a nice picture free of correction without "hacking" with photo software   which can distort the

image and the original color ! This is what I keep saying when I compare digital and film !

This is also what I see with my Kodak Portra photos  . So I agree with what Sunny said

and I am also pleased to hear this remark.

Yes very nice color I agree in your Portra 400 picture specially the rose, blue and green colors !

In addition you have the grain for the sand of the beach !

Thanks for posting

I can compare the Leica S with 70mm vs Leica R8 with 50mm :)

Or Leica R8 with 28mm and Leica S with 35mm etc.

The Leica S has GREAT colours! I love it, but there is nothing that gets close to the dynamic range in the highlights of film!

Jip thank you for your reply.

Great colors yes but real color like film ?

Robin's Egg Blue

At Appomattox Courthouse National Park they have set up period appropriate canon and limbers to designate the area where Lee surrendered Confederate artillery to Grant. I could not resist a closer inspection....and found this:

Some more shots with the Minilux. Two weeks ago we spend some time in Wernigerode (Harz) and I took my sons to a hike in the woods:

It's a cannon that has not known the war for a long time and it is much better

I like the egg in the cannon :)

I read what You said about my wife's photo and told her. As she's French, her English isn't good enough but she told me to say thanks to all of You for Your compliments.

As some of You did post some boat pictures, here is one I shot with my Leica IIIf in January, in La Rochelle, France.

Simply a souvenir picture, but I love boats and ships.

Some pages ago there where some pictures of the Berlin Wall, which brought back memories of an exiting time. I'm unaware, if I showed the following pic on this thread before, so it may be a repeat. It shows the Berlin Wall at the later "East Side Gallery" in 1990. As you can see, the painting came just to life:

Can't remember the camera or the film, probably a simple P&S with ORWO film
