There was "free" fruit-infused water outside at the Fountainbleu, and it was very appetizing to view :)

A few shots from yesterday, Leica M4-2, Voigtlander 35mm 2.5.

Tri-X 400 rated at 400 and developed by me with ilfosol 3

This is the first film i've hand developed in years so I'm not sure if i overcooked. I went by recommended times but maybe i over agitated it. Seems a little grainy to me.

I like the last picture with nice reflections

Welcome Welsh  and glad you share with us

Thanks

Your thoughts ?

Merci Henry,

Excellent photographer! I haven't looked at everything, but what I see is great. I like his personal story and his articulate way of explaining B&W photography and its unique power.

I found the waterproof Nikon Action Touch 35mm f2.8 to be soon much fun in the pool and beach, particularly with my daughter.  It has a flash and manual focus for use under water (otherwise, a pure point and shoot, but with a good lens).

Here are a couple with Portra 800 :)

Henry, Adam, Philip and Phil thank you for your kind words! As a matter of interest the location was an abandoned hall in Belgium formerly used as a customs transshipment facility. When I 'discovered it' in 2014 I realized it's potential for photography and arranged four photoshoots in as many weeks. Being a slow printer the results are only now coming off the press. Then the building needed much attention to save it for posterity - it is a really lovely building offering potential for redevelopment. Fortunately some initiatives have been made, the building has been cleared of vegetation (there were trees growing on the roof) and access is now no longer possible.

These are fantastic. I thought the same with my recent developed TriX. I thought perhaps I agitated too long, or possibly the developer wasn't good... your results came out well,at least in these web pics...

Here was the result of my attempt...too grainy...

GNU your time development ? for TX400 it's  6mn45sec at 20-22°C in pure Kodak D76.

If more time you'll have much black and more grain.

another advice ? :)

Best

Henry

I used 1:1...can't remember the time...but I looked it up on the dev chart online (or did I just follow Kodak's guide?)... either way. I need to become more consistent with my techniques as I decide to shoot more film moving forward. I used to be good in the college days...but now I need to get back in the swing of things.
