Reminds me of what Madeleine Albright said at a conference last year: "I'm not a pessimist. I'm an optimist who worries".

Yes Gary, one of about 25 - 30 that dot the immediate area of the city of Auckland. Most dormant, but the pessimist in me says that one day one will awaken.

This is a fantastic shot, Eoin. Almost looks like a staged fashion shot.

It's a fine photo, Henry and you make a good point. As good as photography can be there's nothing like being there, in the moment, hearing the bird song, feeling the warmth of the sun on your face, etc. Increasingly with photography, I find I enjoy work that also evokes those non-visual senses more than I do that which hangs on clever composition or other showy visual qualities.

Yes Ian, I am lucky to have nature immediatly near my home , just at 5 minutes .

We live in a little city . The air is not polluted like in a big city and pollution + heat

also depending global warming.

Thanks for your comment :)

Two cameras on the mountain bike ,  a little heavy , but I like it !

I admit M cam is lighter :)

Here 2 pictures one in color and one in b&w taken at the same place

same time . The rendering is different:  advantage b&w here and you ?

Yep me too, colour is so muted that it might as well be mono anyway.

You could reduce the weight of the two cameras by just sharing the same lens Henry.

Henry,

The photographs aside, and they are great, this post makes me think more of you and your dedication to film photography. The idea of you pedaling through the French countryside, R4s and Leicaflex in tow, snapping away, brings a big smile to my face. My day will be brigher. :)

Last year in September I was in mission in Asia, far from Europa

About global warming , I feel heat (41°C) and dryness more than before in 1990's

look at this picture below . No water , no schrimps breeding !

2017 ,  they'll have El Nino in addition !

During our mission, sometimes we must walk because road is too narrow

like here . Our air-conditioned little truck with medicine and vaccine cannot come with us.

So we must walk under more than 41°C , may be 45°C !  you know now why I cannot forget

these moments , really too hot ! I plaint people who live there

It reminds me another mission in West Sahara desert with this same kind of heat !

I like the earthy colours, Henry, and the translucence of the water.

Saturday Night Fever hits Kuala Lumpur. :)

Fantastic Photo.

Thanks, Gary and Wayne. It wasn't staged - Just young 'dudes' trying to look like 'cool dudes', then looking kind nervous when I turned my camera their way. I know how hard it is to look cool - I gave up before I started.
