mrckdavies Posted March 12, 2017 Share #29141 Posted March 12, 2017 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) My Leica M film cameras taken by each other. These are my 2 groups of equipment. M3 with 50, 90 & 135. M6TTL with 21, 28, 35, 50, 75, 35 Nokton f1.2. Film Kodak Portra 400. Apologies for the upload quality- I'm having real problems at the moment which didn't exist until a few days ago. I think I shall have to work at using the gallery on the forum. There just seems to be something strange going on with the resizing process, as if the compression is extra high. B.Toews Posted March 12, 2017 Share #29142 Posted March 12, 2017 Brendan Absolutely stunning shot. Where and when and how was it taken? Don't think it was Wales this year, that would be a wellies and mud bath job; worst luck. Great range of tones and one can almost feel the cold and noise of the water. Thanks for sharing. Regards Christopher Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks Christopher! These were taken in Ontario, Canada, right after a fresh snowfall. We were back to warm temps and green grass for the last couple of weeks, but this week is looking cold and snowy again... Very lovely. Would love to see a wet print. Thanks! I wish I could, but I don't have the room for a printing setup at the moment, hopefully next year! mrckdavies Posted March 13, 2017 Share #29145 Posted March 13, 2017 Bristol Aquarium & Planetarium family day out during school holidays a few weeks ago. We needed another cuddly toy turtle! Not sure who the exhibit was sometimes- rays, fish, terrapins and turtles watching us. A clematis hanging over the footway. All shots on the M6TTL on Kodak Portra 400 and 35/2.4 I think. Michael Hiles Posted March 13, 2017 Share #29150 Posted March 13, 2017 (edited) Beautiful shot Mike, very nicely presented. (I once had an auditor called Mike Hiles in the UK) Regards Christopher Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thank you Christopher. Much appreciated. Hiles is not a common name, at least around here. My family came from the Wallasey area about 1910, and a Great Grandfather wrote a quite creditable and still-sounds-good hymn. No word on auditors, however. And I love the rivets. A miller Posted March 13, 2017 Share #29151 Posted March 13, 2017 Here's the last bit from my Tri-X 800/1250 trial run with the Olympus XA. There is no magic to the lens. It is good but it aint no Leica or Zeiss, that's for sure. But I had my lab make me 4x6 prints of these and they actually looked quite ok. There is one lab in NYC whose automated prints I really love. They are nice and contrasty both in B&W and color, and with the color they are really popping. The thing about this camera is the ergonomics. I think it will fill a gap where my Leicas are a bit too much bulk. Welcome, dear visitor!
