One of my new toys is a PC Mutar 1.4x shift converter. I have only shot a few rolls with it but first impressions are positive. By enlarging the image circle it allows shifting the perspective 16mm up or down to correct verticals (8mm if used with a 100mm lens). The below photo was shot with my 80 Planar, which become 112mm and lost a stop of light. It's not very complicated to operate (some views on the internet would have one think otherwise) and also works as a simple extender if unshifted.

This is from last week, a shot of the GEAB power station in Visby on the island of Gotland. It's was a very windy night and I only had my travel tripod so it's less sharp than I would have wanted (and it was a rather long exposure as the star trails show, I think 1,5 mins or so to account for reciprocity). It's also the first roll of Ektar 100 I have every shot in the Hasselblad. I must say I like this film. It scans very easily. I will need to learn how to expose it properly to get better highlights out of the box. I'll post some more in the days to come.

Thought the exact same thing Adam. YES, of course the latest Canikon with mega-zoom will produce way better pictures close up etc, but the series by Brabu are excellent, and way above what you'd expect for such "conservative" equipment.

Ha, ha, I don't believe you, but thanks :)   This poor old couple was right up my ally.  They didn't know up from down and most probably just wanted to get to the closest shelter.  :) :)   It was great!

he, he...

Any LUF member who doesn't share his film photos here is a "digital guy." :)

Still love you, though, and know how great of a safari photographer you are, which is why I called you out - as an enhancement of my compliment of our friend Brabu... :)

A neat idea, been set up for a month or so already, and destined to remain for about 4-5 months more.

This is a well documented problem with recent batches of some Kodak 120 film. It is believed to be why 120 T-Max 100 has not been available for months and your's isn't the first time I've heard of it happening with 120 Portra 400 too. Andy Piper has written quite a bit about this in the film forum here. There is more discussion here on APUG.

Thanks for this. I had this occur with a roll of TriX 120. It was a problem with only one, of five, rolls in a box I purchased. I assumed I had screwed something up in loading/storing the film.
