After my stressful week of Certification audit last week and having completed my family duties I escaped again for a walk around a local lake which has quite a few swans. All of which are crown property here in the UK and are protected by law. After Adams use of flash for street photography I thought I would experiment with it too, but yesterday outside at 3pm, 2 hours before it starts getting dark now. My first film was Fujicolor Superior X-TRA 400. I have never used it before, so it added to the excitement, but I had just a few shots left. This with the R9, 28-70 & Metz 54 MZ-3.

This was scanned to TIFF and just saved to jpeg from Apple Preview. Colour setting to Neutral on scanner.

Another test on detail loss with low light (no effort to make the exposures look the same, but rather try to retain the shadow detail). This time it's Tri-X shot at ISO 1600 w/ 0; -1; and -2 stop compensation, and developed in R09 as 3200 (1:50 for 33min)...

This is a gorgeous photograph.  So well done.  The 35mm format really sings here.

Interesting series, Jonny.  Lovely colors.  Thanks for sharing!

Few more from expired Kodacolour 200 and M6 with 35mm Voigtlander

Wonderful photo, Jean Marc.  You've used the super wide angle quite effectively here, with the boat popping almost out of the image and crystal clear exposure and colors.  Nice, especially for that little camera!

Gorgeous, Keith.  I was expecting rolling hills and  - not that I don't like rolling hills - but was pleasantly surprised to see this lovely scene of the water.  Looks to have been at a golden hour of some sort.  Very nice

Very interesting, Eoin.  And useful, too.  What was the occasion for doing this?  It seems to me that, when pushed two stops, the latitude narrows quite materially.  The one stop under seems beyond what I would do intentionally.

Very soft and cozy, Henry.  And of course no schmootz, don't be silly.  Kodak doesn't schmootz. :)
