Andreas - Yes, Ami and Tammy Miller at Panda.  Great lab and we became best friends. :)  They developed all of my film from Israel.  They even were nice enough to lend me a nice big lightbox so I could salivate over my Velvia 50 slides in the comfort of my home.  And Ami worked hard to develop the film quickly so I could pick it up the same day on my way back to Jerusalem from work. Good people and I believe the only E-6 developer in Israel left....

Thanks for your insights – I usaly take them home and get them developed in a lab.

In TLV I have a lab at hand – a befriended one ;-) – named Panda Lab – though I'm not sure wethere they are still in operation – in cases i go there the last day of my stay – hand them the films and they develope and do some preview scans and send it to me in batches – worked well so far.

Andreas

Thanks, Ian.  I agree with you. :)

These are great, Adam.

(As an aside, this is the kind of light where IMO Portra 400 really seems to shine and makes it worth the £8 a roll it now costs here.)

Ha, you don't need Ektar until you become a heavy MF user.... :)

Yes, I'm seeing the light, so to speak. You won't convince me about Ektar though.  :D

I just acquired this little camera Leica CM in a little market in Italy. Super mint conditions for only 250 Euro - I really couldn't justify the purchase as I already own a Minilux but at the same time I couldn't let it go.
I saw an M7 for 900 Euro as well - which I thought it was cheap. Shame I didn't had the budget for that! Someone will grab a good bargain for sure.

No. 2 son in mid-yawn. Born seven weeks early he spent the first five weeks in an incubator. I managed to sneak my Mamiya C3 into the ward towards the end of his incubator spell.  I was minded to post this partly to show how analogue photos can survive all the changes in image technology - and partly because it was his thirty-ninth birthday earlier this week...

I like this photograph a lot for many reasons. It's beautiful; against the light, great colour intensity (foreground blue), reflections too!

Rolleiflex 3,5F, Tmax 400, D76 1:1

Klaus, very nice B&W images. In my recent quest to get into MF, I have been considering a Rolleiflex as an option to shoot on the street handheld. I am now deep into this rabbit hole and realize that there are several models with different lenses. I am recently understanding the differences in lens character between the Planars and the Tessars (and the Schneider equivalents). After seeing the used prices on the Planar models, I might be considering going for a Tessar model. I've been scouring the web to try to find images created with the Tessar to see if the characteristics are something i can live with.

Which lens does your Rolleiflex have?

Thanks

Well, good thing you didn't use a flash :)  What a great moment!

Good stuff, I think you'll really like the flexibility and rendering.  Enjoy!

Adam this shot seals the deal for me to order some portra 400. I do very much like the color you are getting with it (and I mainly use transparency film for color).
