I just got out my films that I took during my holidays.

I'm glad I succeeded this photo with film , unlike with my M9 and M8 could not do

I notice with surprise that I can find exactly the ambiance that I see, as in this photo of Mont Saint Michel , taken with a film Kodak Portra 400

here unlike M9 can not reproduce this ambiance.

.

This confirms that the film arrives in translating easily "dark" landscapes

as the beach at Dunkirk I posted you (post 172):

http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/other/286747-i-like-film-open-thread-9.html

This is the Mont Saint Michel at 8:30 pm, with the rising tide (at the speed of a galloping horse as say the local residents) and the last rays of sun

are really well reproduced by film Kodak Portra

I did not make any correction because otherwise I will not see the sun rays

In summary, the film surprised me by the fidelity of the image which is well reproduced here , as I really see !

Thank you Peter for your nice comment.

As said K. Rockwell * , perhaps the dynamic range is actually greater in practice for the film

where the gap between dark and light is more visible in the picture below

Thanks Marc for your kind comment.

This photo was taken at high tide (rising quickly) and the impressive current is very strong (speed of a "galloping horse")

Mont Saint Michel is now in the water. Every year there are deaths because people venture into the bay at low tide, but

forget that there are a rising tide

I just had time to take some pictures and water already arrived at my feet. So I have to quickly go back to the bank

I told you that a photographer is a risky profession than the medical profession :D
