rpavich Posted November 4, 2016 Share #23441 Posted November 4, 2016 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Been in the darkroom for a little bit after work.I recently bought an RH Designs Analyser Pro which is a piece of gear that really helps set an exposure in the darkroom. Their motto is "banish the test strip!" and it certainly works. I made 3 prints from 3 separate negatives in one shot each. This is a shot of my sister messing with my laptop when I was in San Diego. I sepia toned it also.it's hanging to dry in my kitchen. You can see I missed focus and focused on her eye furthest from the camera. I used My M6 with Tri-X and dev'd in Xtol 1:1 and printed on Ilford MGIV paper. Edited November 4, 2016 by rpavich

gbealnz Posted November 4, 2016 Share #23442 Posted November 4, 2016 Great stuff RP, you've certainly come a long way in a short time. Good looking pic, great bit of processing, now a little spotting required, and a frame. Awesome. Gary
EoinC Posted November 5, 2016 Share #23443 Posted November 5, 2016 More from the Grounds for Sculpture. Rolleiflex 2.8F Ektar LS-9000 These are great, Marc - I like the way the colours have rendered, and the perspectives are life-like. I particularly like (here judging the subject) the sculptured rendition of Edvard Munch's "Skrik", or "The Scream". This was a painting that touched me as a youngster, opening my eyes to expressing internal thoughts through paint.
EoinC Posted November 5, 2016 Share #23444 Posted November 5, 2016 Hello all, sorry for my recent absence, which was involuntary. It seems the time is right to thin out the herd of cameras somewhat, and I see one cannot post anything into this forum's Non-Leica Gear section of Buy and Sell. I don't think I am allowed to post an ad here, so just contact me if you might be interested in a Fuji GW690III, Voigtlander Bessa III, or the SWC. I hope to be able to expose some more film one of these days and you lot will be among the first to be bored by me once again when I do! Chris Unfortunately, you just missed me, Chris. I believe my wife has just secured a SWC for me in Japan. What camera/s are you keeping? We certainly don't want to see any reduction in the volume of your great work...

EoinC Posted November 5, 2016 Share #23447 Posted November 5, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) one more with the IR filter: These shots are both beautiful, Dirk. What IR filter are you using, and are you offsetting focus using lens markings?

gbealnz Posted November 5, 2016 Share #23450 Posted November 5, 2016 Any word, Gary? I miss Henry. Not a squeak Eoin, nothing, certainly nothing from his e mail. But I do note he is "active" with checking in on the forum, as recently as today. Not that this helps, actually makes it worse, if he is checking in, how come he's not vocal here on HIS forum. No matter, if he is checking in, then all must be well. I plan on a coffee with him next August. Gary

david strachan Posted November 5, 2016 Share #23458 Posted November 5, 2016 Yep, who cares if it's OOF, or has crap on the neg. Somehow it's half the charm. Like watching an old movie in funny colours. I love it. Faults in a perfect world just emphasise the beauty. Good stuff Eion. All best ( you b'tard.. ) cheers..
