Sorrento and that pier are the 'dreamtime' of my family, especially my children. The times I have spent sailing, fishing, running on the pier, not to mention buying fresh caught fish from the cafe in the righthand image, cannot be counted. Regrettably, it has now become a yuppy town compared to when we inhabited it.

Wonderful panorama of 6x6s! And a great document. Such a beautiful place too, Sorrento, in Victoria. I have some very happy memories of visits to Sorrento.

Thank you very much Xicara and John. Sorrento has undeniably gone through many changes over the years, and not necessarily for the better - although it's certainly not alone in that regard. Still a lovely place to visit on a quiet sunny weekday, and importantly they still have "Australia's best vanilla slices" not far from the beach there. I'm really happy that my picture inspired some good memories. You'll probably both be sad to hear that pictured is the replacement pier under construction - the old ramshackle one bursting with character and fond memories was sadly torn down a few months ago.

That's really an amazing storyboard, Phil. No easy thing with a TLR, even with a tripod (which I assume you used). So very seamless and yet.... A pentych?

Thank you sincerely Ken. Yes, I used a tripod and a Rolleiflex gadget called a "Panoramakopf" that enables the camera to rotate a set amount, clicking into place for successive shots with a slight overlap in order to achieve a panoramic effect. Fun and frustrating all at once (trying to get the tripod perfectly level is the frustrating part). I understand the proper(?) word is a "Quintych".

Love this, and love the fact that it took pretty much a half a roll of film to do!

I knew it, the earth is round!

I love how sky and sea merge at the horizon, just like sea and sand merge in the foreground.

Another excellent use of your fisheye lens, and wonderfully saturated colours.
