A bit of contrast in C1 but virtually no colour edits. It’s truly leaning towards the colour look of an old Western or road movie. I need to think whether I will order it again. I am too impatient for tedious colour grading, but very grateful for any advice of how you deal with colour with the Silbersalz35 films.

Thanks,

Erik

In 1979 (gulp!) my then girlfriend (wife since 1980) and I traveled through Europe and the Middle East. I with a Pentax ME, taking thousands of slides (Kodachrome 25, 64, and Fujichrome), mostly archaeological sites for my teaching. About 10 years ago, I threw out all those slides (yes, I know....), because my university digitized for me all that I still needed for teaching. And then I deleted even those, because there are now better professional packages. This is maybe the only photo from that trip that I still have and downloaded from a powerpoint. It's Jane racing across the stadion run at Delphi, an illegal act for which the guard whistled and yelled, but she continued to the finish.

Well, here is my version. I like yours better. When we passed through the sky had become an intense blue-white glare and the sign was mostly backlit. Not the best conditions, so I tried my hand at a Robert Adams interpretation of the scene with a blank, oppressive sky. Easier said than done.

Great photo AZD! I like the angle and perspective. I just went back and looked at my calendar, I was month behind, my photo is from June 9 2022. I have a couple other photos from that day I may post at some point...
