She is one frame of a narrative film, waiting, the arresting nonchalance of her hand, a psychological gesture of patience. There's the reiteration of the slats of the window louvers with the bench and that classical sense of depth perspective between the buildings, the echo of Vermeer, perhaps. The expectation that someone may walk around the corner. Your signature asymmetrical composition of the solitary person in concert with cityscape. There's resilience here.
