A wonderful portrait to extol the virtues of this wonderful film by Adox. Thank you Marc. Again, your attention to figure and ground is stunning.

Still trying to polish my scanning pipeline. I used to have a license for photoshop CS4 along with color perfect but can no longer install it... Took a subscription with Adobe for now and inverting "manually" in photoshop using curves. Any tips for inverting a black and white is more than welcome. At the moment, all I do is invert using curves adjust the black/white/mid points and finally a bit of contrast adjustment.

I'd say it would be very difficult to improve upon what you are doing here. Great shot, great processing.

Lovely photo and absolutely beautiful, classic colours of Kodachrome - thank you Doc. There’s something about the way it gives density yet separates colours as in the foreground grasses here. A unique and glorious film, very much missed since 2010.

Yes Phil thank you for your nice comment . I really liked the colors of this Kodachrome it's really a pity that Kodak stops 🥲

Remains of an International Harvester S-130. The Internet says it's from 1956. 🤷‍♂️ Edit: Every time I travel in rural US I'm surprised by the quantity of abandoned cars and trucks. Usually they are in private properties, so not easy to photograph. Well, I don't like to transpass.

I used to manually invert in Camera Raw, then save as TIFF and adjust in LR. Now I just import the raw files into LR and let Negative Lab Pro do the work. I got NLP for color, but, honestly, it does a great job for BW in just a few moments. You can invert the whole roll in a few minutes. I use PS for sharpening only at the end (I do the same for digital).

I found Color perfect has a very strange user interface and switched to Negmaster.
There are two versions one for PS and the other one for Bridge. Next Bridgeversion 1.5 is coming soon and is able for batch converting and better editing the clipping of highlights and shadows then. I like the results very much…

Same here. Essentially the NLP plug in works intuitively, but one quirk  should be mentioned: If you save the file as jpg, all sliders are inverted subsequently. Not so if you save as TIFF....

In the northern summer of 1985 we were on our way to Europe where we planned to spend a few years working and traveling. We stayed in Sri Lanka for six weeks en route and got to know this family quite well, often visiting with them. They were incredibly kind and friendly, and when we left we gave them our sleeping bags and some warm clothes for the children. Not long after that, when we were in London, we heard that the part of the coast they were living had been devastated by a tropical cyclone. We never found out their fate.
