Further to my comment above on Bo's bodacious elephant picture I found these sans to which I alluded and have happily spent some of an otherwise wet, dreary, locked-down day in scanning a few. I present a couple for your delectation. Oh, and a correction. Women were obviously (as the second picture proves) allowed to scrub the royal elephant - which the elephant obviously enjoys - but they were not permitted to sit upon him. My apologies. Oh, and according to our diary entry of the time, I paid 30 rupees (about $1.80) to have a ride on him:

Lewella, Sri Lanka 1985

Kodachrome 64

seems to me that they’ve gone and scrubbed all the dots off his forehead!

Totally awesome Flickr gallery with a unique aesthetic and a wry sense of humor that surfaces without overstatement. Just love how you edit the world.

Thank you Ernest for your very kind and generous words. Your comment made my very very happy. :))

Nice. What I don’t understand is how a mirrored image of a bypasser appears in the water on the right but not on the bridge (and the other way round). What film, camera and lens did you use?

Kamera was an MP, Film Portra 400, the lens i did forgot.

The bypasser mirrored on the bridge, but on the left side, so he followed themself.

„Quest yourself“.
I create it on PC.😉

I know, it‘s time to improved my englisch, but i waste my time with photographie.
