Popular Post edwardtadros Posted February 2, 2021 Popular Post Share #74244 Posted February 2, 2021 (edited) I'm lucky enough to have two MPs, one black and one silver. And a M3 which my father bought in 1956 with a 5cm Summicron f2, still lovely but I don't use it much. I use almost exclusively Ilford HP5 developed in Ilford DDX and occasionally Rollei 25ASA in the summer light. Frequently with the Elmar 28mm f2.8, as you see here. This one is batch scanned with a Reflecta RPS10 and no adjustments made at all. Eventually I get round to making silver prints! Welcome, dear visitor! I've yet to try Acros ii, the original was my favourite film for years. I still have a few rolls of original Acros 35mm and 120 left, I should do a comparison with Acros ii. Thank you, Steve. What impresses me with the new Acros II is how it handles the modern high contrast Leica lenses --better than any other b/w film I know---perhaps the Delta 100 coming near. One great exception is the Agfa Scala slide film--now called Adox Scala. But a bit unpractical in the darkroom... Although, perhaps I should try again... So if you have done your comparison, let us know. K. Edited February 2, 2021 by Kl@usW.

Turner is hands down inspirational. After seeing his work at the British Museum 45 years ago, it's impossible to "un-think" Turner who was a master of oil, as well as watercolor. Clouds are condensation nuclei and here the toxicity of their rendering is underscored with the "toxic grain" of ADOX, sadly a reminder of pandemic paralysis. 2
