Thank you sincerely Rog. California, too, is of course battling many, many fires and I just hope that they are all put under control very soon.

If memory serves me, I think it was reported a few days ago you had some 300 fires. Here is an earlier sketch I've reconsidered: what painter's call a muddy palette, only here I've contrasted it with the hot weld, a metaphor of how we bring things together. You and Sue, take care.

The war is over..

( bunker on Isla Mallorca, built by Franco in 1942. He was afraid of an allied invasion in favor of the republican side in the civil war. The words are more recent, not spanish but "Mallorquin"-an insular version of Catalan and by Miquel Costa y Llobera)
