stray cat Posted January 15, 2018 Share #45743 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) Thought of Phil. The small object on the center window sill is your basic Mason jar butt-kit. What it lacks in presenting a pleasing appearance, it makes up for in convenience and portability. img178.jpg Minox B, Foma Retropan 320 Thanks Wayne. I still have profound reservations when I hear the term "butt kit" - I like to think that a "butt" is something that you sit upon... Never having been a smoker I guess I fail to comprehend the utility of them either. Edited January 15, 2018 by stray cat

sixteen pads Posted January 15, 2018 Share #45751 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) Congratulations! Funnily, I did the same last week, but opted for the 50/1.2 unused. I am still hoping to receive the parcel within this week. Very excited! Edward, Nice ! Did you go black or silver ? I was really impressed when I picked it and held it for the first time. It felt very substantial and solid. No rattle, nothing moving if not meant to. Since I own quite a few of its cousins ( fe2, fm2, fa ) I had expected the feeling in hand to be the same, yet no, this Fm3a fellow does feel like a better, more solid camera. Also feels heavier a bit. But in that good kinda Leica heavy way lol. You will love it I am sure. Please share your thoughts when you do receive it. Doc Henry Posted January 15, 2018 Author Share #45752 Posted January 15, 2018 Very good, Henry. Love the many lines Thank you Adam sometimes I have some inspiration for photography The Ohio. img160.JPG Foca Universel, Oplar 50mm 2.8, Foma 400 another great image with your Foca Wayne I have many french friends who love film still keep this camera Thanks, Henry. I am not sure what it is, but it impresses me that optical considerations/priorities in France may have been slightly different than at Leitz. I do not really prefer one over the other, but do very much enjoy the Bertiot, Angenieux, and now.....Oplar renderings. I will keep the Foca. Best, Wayne Thank you for your comment Wayne Nicely composed, great lines and curves. Thank you Steve. I got a black one in mint condition from the FM buy and sell section. I also ordered a new 50/1.2 (seems to be the best 50 optically). Now you make me even more thrilled about it By the way, which lenses would you recommend? I was thinking 28/2.8 and 85/1.4?
