I know you admire William, Eggleston's work Wayne - but I am equally sure Eggleston himself would greatly admire this wonderful photograph. Not sure how your process of choosing which camera to take out for the day must transpire - you must have a fair assortment there by the sounds of it - but you are making the most of it whatever you are using.

Adam this is just superb. Also an inspired decision to work it as a B&W picture - works superbly.

Steve, this is wonderful. This picture and the one of the two mobile phone users you posted a day or two ago put me in mind of Bill Brandt. Now that's as high praise as I think I could give any picture!

I decided to have another go at XP2 in HC-110 using chism’s recipe, looks like it worked well! Fresh out of the tank, scans later if I have time this evening.

The purple tinge part of the process Mike? I got my Europe XP2 rolls done commercially via C41, and while not completely clear, they were not of such a tinge.

This has me wondering if I should try some more, and use B&W chemicals.

Thank you for the ultra kind words, Phil. Actually Bill Brandt is one of my all time favourite photographers, but I'm afraid I'm a million miles away from his unique signature talent.

Thanks for your opinion, Gary.

Hmmm, I know youdidn't ask, but the colour for me please.

Interesting, Mike. What is more interesting is that if you tap the home button on the iphone three times fast you can see the image very well.

Many thanks, Steve. "Good" is plenty sufficient for me :)

Adam, I'm struggling to find the words suitable to express how good your image is, fabulous will have to suffice.

Thanks, Eoin!

Quite ludditic of me, but my preference is the B&W image - The silhouette is exquisite.

Another excellent addition to your aeries, Wayne. What film?

I agree with Phil, Steve. You have been like a sponge on this thread (and others) and demonstrating how you have processed all the info you have absorbed and put it into action, quite successfully.

Sorry, it was Fuji Superia 100. Just rolled and shot Portra 400. Now hanging to dry.

Darn, if only I'd known, I just a week or two ago sold a near mint 75/4.5 and an less than beautiful 200/4. Used them for astro use on a digital camera.

The Pentax 6x7 is a beast, you'll have fun, and it will save on a gym membership.

This camera came from a guy who had a contract as a photographer with the US military, it spent its career hanging out of a helicopter photographing the Mississippi river, the two lenses it came with were bought for that contract. It's seen a lot of use and has some very nice brassing. :)

I do see the need for possibly a 75mm and a 105mm. :)

I spent a few days in Milano and I exposed some HP5 at 1600.

Here's a couple of guys after the Half Marathon of Nov 26 in their thermal blankets. I should have asked to pose for me.

Fry up some good sausage, and they will come.

Thanks to Adam, for the recommendation of Portra 400.
