Steve Ricoh Posted November 25, 2017 Share #42901 Posted November 25, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) In my quest to find a half frame (a spy camera like Wayne's would, in theory, be wonderful in terms of image quality, but splitting regular film, let alone the possible processing issues, puts me off, somewhat) I came across a Leica M that had been converted unofficially at the Wetzlar factory. The selling price £6k+. I suspect there's a market for half frame, going from the interest shown on eBay, just waiting for someone with the necessary skills and tooling to convert regular M's. MT0227 Posted November 25, 2017 Share #42902 Posted November 25, 2017 HI Philip and thanks for the kind words. We kind of did our own thing; also looked at each others frames from time to time as well and just general conversation as we walked to the next location. For me, it was a fun day shooting with a friend, learning a few tips and tricks along the way. Marc and Adam - those NYC fall pictures are just brilliant. How did you find the process of working together - or at least alongside one another - as compared with working solo?

christoph_d Posted November 25, 2017 Share #42909 Posted November 25, 2017 As some of you are undoubtedly aware, the Rome One Challenge took place recently in Rome. I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to go to one of the brilliant muse of Rome, watch the visitors and try to capture a winning photo there. Well, I did not capture a winning photo, but am quite happy with the overall result, a few of which I show here. This one was my entry to the One Challenge: Welcome, dear visitor! A miller Posted November 25, 2017 Share #42916 Posted November 25, 2017 Thanks, Keith A stunning image, full of depth and colour! Keith - This one is really stunning. I am in love with the color palette and rendition of the skin tones. Great result from the Portra Final two Portra 400 images from our autumn sojourn in Spain. Bronzed bodies on the beach Dedicated to fitness... I need to get one of those extension tubes; love the macro shots I really do understand Spectacular photo Adam..nothing more to say Very lovely, Marc. So that's what you were shooting while I was obsessing over that leaf! Some more fall from Central Park. Adam Miller was to the right, taking beautiful close-ups of those leaves in the water. Hasselblad 503CW 80mm Planar CFE Ektar 2017-11-10-R2-0010 by Marc Tauber, on Flickr Many thanks, Phil. It is always fun shooting with a friend. It is one thing to go to a specific location for a specific photo and another thing to go walking around with loads of gear with each a slightly different point of view and visualization. When we found our way to the "ramble" forest section of the Park I came across the amazing collection of leaves, we each spent a fair bit of time wandering around quietly floating each's boat. It is interesting that we brought the exact same camera (503cw) and lenses (80 planar and 250 SA) and film. It was a "mission accomplished," for sure Marc and Adam - those NYC fall pictures are just brilliant. How did you find the process of working together - or at least alongside one another - as compared with working solo? Another lovely scene, Marc. Has classic Fall written all over it! A little mirror imaging from Central Park's pond in The Ramble. I'm not sure what story it tells, but I thought it looked pretty cool. philipus Posted November 25, 2017 Share #42918 Posted November 25, 2017 So what do you do when you've handed the car in for switching to summer tyres in a really boring area with only car dealerships and repair shops as far as the eye can see? Shoot a self-portrait of course I know, this is getting lame. I need to scan some more... Flickr 90 Elmarit-M Superia 400

I love shooting museum visitors because they tend to be absorbed by whatever the museum has on display and do all kinds of funny things. Wayne Posted November 25, 2017 Share #42920 Posted November 25, 2017 The other day, while strolling around, I noticed the town Christmas bunting is up around the courthouse and juvenile detention center. the combination of Christmas bunting and concertina wire got me to thinking. In American Christmas lore it is common to use the threat of Santa Claus to motivate children to behave: "He is making a list, checking it twice"......... But, at least in my county, it is Judge H. who determines who has been "naughty or nice." Welcome, dear visitor!
